Diablo Molding & Trim – FAQ
What materials do you use?
MDF (medium density fiber board) is the most popular and economical product that we install. It comes pre-primed for paint, is easily installed with minimal problems and is the product most commonly used by the large scale builders. The next most requested product is finger joint pine, which is very similar to the MDF and comes in a few different profiles. Stain grade hardwood moldings are also available by special order.
How much does it cost?
We charge by the lineal foot for both molding and paint, which means whatever the rooms measure is what you pay for. Generally speaking, moldings prices vary depending on the sizes selected, but our price includes the labor, materials and installation with paint as a separate estimate. There are additional charges for extra corners, vaulted or high ceilings and special order materials.
Do you have references?
Yes, we do. We encourage customers to call our clients and also get a few competitive bids. We will guarantee fair and equal prices as well as your satisfaction. References can be provided at the time of the estimate or anytime upon request.
What size of molding should I install?
Choosing the right size molding is very important. We’ll be able to assist you with the appropriate selection when we come out to do an estimate. We’ll consider the height of ceilings, the size(s) of rooms, and the overall look and feel you are trying to achieve in your home.
